Organizing Committee
The 50th anniversary of the Montréal Olympic Games is led by an organizing committee that brings together the Olympic Park, Parc Jean-Drapeau, and the City of Montréal. Together, these institutions work to coordinate the programming, preserve the legacy of the 1976 Games, and offer both residents and visitors a unifying celebration rooted in history and oriented toward the future. Their collaboration ensures a coherent, sustainable vision that remains true to the Olympic spirit.
Partners in the celebrations
The 50th anniversary celebrations rely on the contribution of key partners: the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC), and Tourisme Montréal. Their support strengthens the scope of the project, highlights the sporting and cultural legacy of 1976, and underscores Montréal’s importance in the global Olympic movement. Thanks to this collaboration, the experience offered to the public is enriched, given greater visibility, and made more meaningful.
